02.09.2017 – Feb. 9th, 2017 – Motion On Islamophobia Set For Vote Next Week

Members of Parliament are set to vote on an “Islamophobia” motion next week at a time when emotions are high following the United States immigration ‘pause’ and the horrific Quebec mosque shooting that tragically left 6 Canadians killed.

Liberal MP Iqra Khalid’s Motion M-103 is called “Systemic Racism and Religious Discrimination” but it does not refer to discrimination towards all religions; only towards Islam. It calls on the Heritage Committee to study how to eliminate “Islamophobia” and could result in recommended laws to achieve this goal.

M-103 seeks additional protection for Muslims and therefore favours one religion above all others. It could prepare the way for the criminalization of “Islamophobia” and challenge rational criticism of an entire religion…[Click here to read the full article].
