WE'RE QUICKLY RUNNING OUT OF TIME

Thank you for your articles on human trafficking. It is hard to believe that in a "free" country like Canada, a girl can be bought for $15,000. The impact of trafficking on Canada is estimated at between $120 million and $400 million per year, and accounts for approximately 8,000 to 16,000 people arriving in Canada illegally each year. If any other crime went unpunished there would be an uproar, and this is a horrific crime. Whatever the problem is, we need to fix it fast because the Vancouver Olympics are fast approaching and human trafficking is known to sky rocket in cities hosting the Olympics.

It's time to get over our shock that there are slaves in Canada and do something about it. I hope the new federal government is listening.
